Closing Guitmo is a big mistake. We need a place to keep the scum of the earth. They are not US citizens and don't deserve to be in our courts. I guess that if John Murtha really likes them he can have them in his backyard. This will come back to bite us. It shows weakness on the part of Obama and a willingness on his part to make life easier for Muslim terrorists. Try telling the victim families of the 9/11 attack that khalid Sheikh Muhammad, one of the masterminds of the WTC attack, will be sitting pretty in a courtroom. Obama is just like most liberals and the change he's bringing is for the worse.
The question about torture shouldn't even be discussed if our politicians ever made sense. I want my president to do everything he can to keep my family safe in this country. We are the moral leaders of the world. It's definitely not sharia law! We don't have to apologize to anyone for taking actions that protect our people. Other countries out there need to learn from us. We are the leaders of the world in everything! America is the only place on earth, and Brazil too for that matter, where the citizens are made up of people from all around the world. We are the example of how to live peacefully amongst each other. We transfer power peacefully even when half of the population is scared that this new president is just gonna turn us into Cuba! I want a Jack Bauer on my side! I want Obama to say, like Bush did, that he will do EVERYTHING he can to protect us. That's it! I don't need psychologists, liberals, sissies, earth loving, protect the caribou crowd getting involved in this type of stuff. Obama, you're the president now! Make a decision! Don't keep making committees to decide what torture is. You know what it is and it needs to happen! Be strong when you need to be. Wait a minute, I forgot you owe a lot to the special interests that put you in power. Sorry, I forgot you are just another politician.
No offshore drilling! Of course! We need oil but why get our own? Let other countries drill offshore and we'll just keep our dumb environmentalists green people happy while we import oil from countries that hate us! Obama is missing out on the oil that China will be drilling off the coast of Florida pretty soon. Will the media press him on this. Of course not. This will cost America more than anything!
Children healthcare! Socialism here we come. It's for the children so it's okay. It's not okay! Our constitution does not make it a right for citizens to have healthcare. The reason our system works is because it's a run by the private market. Government only screws things up! Stop getting involved! Actually, by getting healthcare gov't will be able to tell us what to do. Just like when mom and dad used to say that you'd better do as they said because they are the ones paying the bills so will the gov't say to the people that we better do as they say. Don't drink that! Don't eat that! Don't smoke! Wait! Smoke! The children's healthcare plan will be paid for by higher taxes on cigarettes. The gov't of Pelosi and Reid (big time liberals) will make sure to encourage everyone to smoke now in order to pay for the children's healthcare. How idiotic is that?
Obama's true colors have been revealed but not many truly know him. You see, he didn't go through a vetting process. Charley Gibson didn't sit down with him to discuss his inexperience while looking down on his glasses. If he spends taxpayer's money the way he's planning we'll be in a depression that will last a long time.
The reason I am gonna start posting more often now is to keep in memory the decisions he is making today. The wrong decisions for a successful capitalistic society like the US. Too many people have short memory and don't follow what's going on. The decisions of today will affect us years from now.
